She was Artist of the Year for the 2013 Georgetown Wooden Boat Show where her painting broke the auction record for the SC Maritime Museum. She was a proud member of Daughters of the American Revolution.

Susan chose to fill her free time pursuing her interests including travel, music, art, food and spending time with friends and family. Every week she drove to Charleston to spend time with her grandchildren.
